Subject: [GeneseeBirds-L] Piffard: shorebirds
Shorebirds continue in the wet spots along Flats Rd., mostly closer to the Chandler Rd. end and nearby Chandler Rd. itself. I had 30 or more yesterday in a couple visits - the best toward evening. New arrivals included a couple Least Sandpipers and a Semipalmated Sandpiper yesterday - neither of which has been recognized by eBird. Others include Pectorals, Solitary, both Yellowlegs & Snipe. Also a few Pipits earlier in the day and an occasional flyover B. Eagle. Photos on my eBird report. One can watch nicely from the car - just have to pull over well to th side of the road; there is occasional traffic on that road.
