Weather: Overcast in the morning with light westerly winds. Clearing to mostly sunny in the afternoon with strengthening winds. Felt cold with the wind.
Raptor Observations: A light but steady migration. Most migrants were very high. The highlight was an immature Golden Eagle. Most numerous were 59 Turkey Vultures. Only 14 Broad-winged Hawks and 13 Sharp-shinned Hawks.
New species for season: Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher, Palm Warbler, Pine Warbler, American Avocet
Predictions: TOMORROW: Mainly sunny. High around 50F. Winds N at 5-10mph. Blue skies will make spotting difficult. Northerly winds will push migrants away from the lake shore. Count will probably move to Frisbee Hill. Expect light migration.
TUESDAY: Overcast. Slight chance of a rain shower. High 64F. Winds SW at 15-25mph. Great winds. Expect moderate to good migration. POSSIBLY A BIG DAY.
