Rachel there might be a few photos in the batch that reveal plumage patterns confirming your initial immature Red-shouldered Hawk suspicions. Adult RSHAs have that distinctive patch of black & white horizontal stripes on the lower part of their folded wing and the field guides show immature birds having that same pattern in brown which appears to be visible on photo #5 in your sequence and also the last photo. Also the tail bands visible in photo #3 and #7 look the right width for RSHA even narrowing in width and spacing near the top like Sibley shows for imm. RSHAs. Maybe an actual hawk expert can take that ball and run with it...

Well, since no one else has chimed in, I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that, if it appeared the same size as the red-tail that was briefly present, then it too is a red-tail, albeit not in adult plumage.

There's also a single photo in the album of the mature Red-shouldered Hawk which flew in and appeared to try to take the snake away but was unsuccessful. Photos are from Pioneers Park, Lincoln on April 17.
