Observers: Sharon Sisti

Visitors:
Sharon Sisti, Michael Delaney

Weather:
A spring-like day with a mix of sun and high clouds. Winds were light but
from the west and northwest for the duration of the count.

Raptor Observations:
Broad-winged hawks were the big story, outnumbering the turkey vultures. A
nice variety of raptors including a nice look at a light morph rough-legged
hawk - bird of the day for me. By the end of the watch the northeast winds
were pushing the flight line much farther inland to the southeast, into
shimmer and haze. This made identification, or even a count, impossible.

Non-raptor Observations:
A few cormorants and a smattering of the expected land birds. Nothing new
for the season.

Predictions:
Things turn wet again. National Weather Service is calling for, "Showers,
with thunderstorms possible after 1pm. High near 64. East wind 11 to 18mph.
Chance of precipitation is 100%. The broadwings may continue to push
through if there are enough breaks in the rain.
