dear birders
i borrowed mary ellen's cellphone and sat in the yard at 6am.
i turned on Merlin and it identified yard birds:
northern cardinal: check. tufted titmouse: check. carolina wren: check.
gray catbird.... gray catbird....
i couldn't hear it!
moral question: can i [gasp] count it?
the conundrum stands on the horns of the dilemma.
