Subject: [CT Birds] FOY visitors 4/28 and 4/29 in Chester
Experiencing some FOY envy, reading other people's posts! No orioles, thrushes, or hummingbirds here yet, but catbird arrived today (4/29), and yesterday (4/28) we had visits by the blue-grey gnatcatcher and a warbling vireo.

Also witnessed some robin behavior I hadn't seen before: one of the parents was worming in our front yard, and they'd take each catch and wash it off in the birdbath before flying it over to their nestlings. I'd assumed that food was food and once you catch it, you pass it along - so this worm-washing was a new thing for me. Also meant I had to clean the birdbath around midday, because the accumulated dirt made it very mucky.
