My first orioles of the year arrived this evening. A male orchard, and then an hour later a male Baltimore. I reported the orchard on ebird, but it is considered rare and isn't showing up on the species map. Do "rare" sightings have a review process? (and are they really still rare? They breed in my yard every year. Is it just that they are early?)
