It’s a near miracle that the Cape May found the very spot where he would be cared for so beautifully. Thank you for sharing him with us.

He would visit the feeder right in front of my living room window 15 to 20x a day. He was eating crushed sunflower hearts, some suet balls and grape jelly. He made it through some cold snaps, and a couple pretty harsh winter snow storms. I watched him molt from a fall plumage to his beautiful breeding plumage. I also saw him start with small chips at the feeder to then moving around my yard singing incessantly in his last 3 weeks. It was a remarkable experience and I am grateful he stopped in my small patch of the world. Hopefully he spends a successful summer in the Canadian wilderness and in the fall finds his way ALL the way South! (Though I wouldn't mind if he made a quick pit stop)
