Subject: [ia-bird] Dunbar Slough and Bays Branch, Greene & Guthrie counties
Today at Dunbar Slough in Greene County, Jon and Joyce Bahrenfus and I saw
a Cattle Egret and a Snow Egret on an island in the pond in the NE corner
of A Ave. and 270th Street. And thanks to Matt Wetrich and his group we saw
a Loggerhead Shrike on B Ave north of 270th St. Later at Bays Branch,
Guthrie County, we saw an Upland Sandpiper on Wink Ave between 190th and
200th St. It gave us a great look sitting on a fence pole, quietly making
some call notes. A beautiful day with a great many good sightings.
