After a productive but windy morning at Eagle Bluffs this morning, on the way home I took a drive down Mokane road.

First, the overpass is now open. I got dinged by that a couple of weeks ago.

It was a very productive drive with 26 species including 7 Scissor Tailed Flycatchers. Ebird flagged me on the six I saw on the way in but picked up 7 on the way out. Also picked up a couple Lark Sparrows (one of the most stylish in the sparrow family) .

With heavy rains we had a few small bodies of water have formed and one had 5 Lessor Yellowlegs. With more rain expected I would think we will have more shorebird/wader habitat.

Thanks,
Steve Griffaw
