Subject: [BostonBirds] BBC-BNC Trip Report: Great Day!
Hi everyone,

I want to report on a very successful Brookline Bird Club-Boston Nature
Center joint bird walk covering Millenium Park and the West Roxbury High
School Marsh. I'm also including results of a quickie bike ride by the
marsh on my part after the group walk ended. The walk was attended by about
25 people and was led by Correne George, Sam Harris, Michael McCarthy, and
myself. Special thanks to our trip leaders who did an outstanding job
spotting/hearing hard-to-locate birds and identifying uncommon/rare
species.

We got a lot (!!!) of species. Highlights included Brown Thrasher, 3
Kestrels, Red-Shouldered Hawk, Green Heron, Warbling Vireo, and lots of
Red-Bellied Woodpeckers.

I want to add that the next joint BBC-BNC bird walk will be at *Boston
Nature Center on Sat., May 11 @ 7 am. *You can register (free) by emailing
neil.calabro1 [at] mac.com and cgeorge [at] massaudubon.org.
