A bird walk was held this morning was collaboration of Mountaineer Audubon and the WVU Core Arboretum.
The twenty birders enjoyed beautiful clear skies. Dr. Chris Rota, Mountaineer Audubon VP, demonstrated bird banding and explained his research with migrating White-throated Sparrow.
We had a close view of a Blue-winged Teal in fresh breeding plumage. We admired the iridescence of it head feathers.
