I was at my mom's today. On the way home I called sister. She said husband is disking and surrounded by hawks. I knew they must be swainsons. I counted over 50. This was in sanborn county. It was an amazing sight.
I've been cutting down trees and keep finding owl pellets on the stumps. Probably screech.
Tree swallows arrived here yesterday. Saw one at Mom's in Davison county today.
Migration is happening.
Such a busy time of year. Plantings good trees to replace all the invasive trees I'm removing.
I should ask if anyone on this group knows of bur oak groves in their area.
