Official Counter: Nick Bolgiano, Thomas Filip

Observers: Tom Filip

Weather:
NW winds at 8-12mph and partly cloudy in the morning, 10-15mph and sunny in
the afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
Migrating raptors today include 2 BAEA, 1 RLHA, 2 RTHA, 3 BWHA, 1 TUVU, and
1 AMKE.

At 11:21, I spotted a large buteo on the N side of the ridge and quickly
got in the scope. I was pleasantly surprised to find a RLHA instead of a
RTHA in view. It wasn't too far or high up and gave me a nice look as it
drifted SW along the ridge. Looked like an adult female light morph. This
isn't the latest spring record for a RLHA at Tussey, but it is still pretty
late.

Non-raptor Observations:
https://ebird.org/checklist/S320258316

Only a few passerine flyovers today, probably due to starting later. A BARS
came in low through the power line cut while calling, the first for the
season. 1 PUFI, 3 AGOL, and 1 BHCO were also seen.

Predictions:
Partly cloudy with 6-10mph SE winds in the morning shifting to 11-13mph S
winds in the afternoon. These are promising conditions, tomorrow could be a
good day.
