We saw Black-necked Stilts at the Lake Andes National Wildlife Refuge
this afternoon. Thanks for a tip from my friend, Liz! My son and I had
just gotten in the car to go for a quick birding drive on this dreary
day, when I got a message from her that she had spotted them! That was
sure lucky! It was very dark, dreary and misty, so the pics aren't
great, but I do love this bird species!
