It appears the “flock” of Smith’s Longspurs at Harvard WPA have departed. The last report on eBird was of 37 on March 24. I searched the area on March 30 and did not find any. As you may recall they were first reported at this location on February 28. Collectively these sightings were unprecedented for Nebraska in both numbers (maximum 200) and duration (25 days). Thanks to everyone who made an effort to see and report them.
