Subject: [ia-bird] Sandhill Cranes in Story County on 3/6/26
A pair of Sandhill Cranes loudly announced their return on Friday to our land about a mile southeast of the intersection of I-35 and Highway 30.  They have been returning for about ten years.  To the best of our knowledge, they've never nested here, and of course they don't spend all their time here.  But we are grateful for every day they visit.
