Subject: [BostonBirds] 3/5 Neponset River Reservation Highlights
What a blast I had today, birding first at the Neponset River Marsh (enter at the end of Bearse St. by going around the locked entrance gate) followed by the wooded hummock opposite the Milton Yacht Club, followed by Pope John Paul 2nd Park. I got thirty-eight bird species.

Hooded Merganser 2
Mute Swan 2
RING-NECKED DUCK 2 Milton Landing
Common Goldeneye 1
HOODED MERGANSER 2
Red-breasted Merganser 6
Bufflehead 7
Cooper's Hawk 1
Red-tailed Hawk 3
KILLDEER 1 F.O.Y.
Great Black-backed Gull 1 roosting on ice with other gulls
COMMON RAVEN 1 being dive-bombed by crows as it sat atop an evergreen at Pope John Paul Park; entertaining!
