Subject: [Tweeters] Exploring the Great Bear Rainforest
Inspired by an August 2011 National Geographic article on the Spirit Bear, by wife Dory and I visited last September what is now called the Great Bear Rainforest. This is a area set aside to preserve old growth forests through a collaborative agreement. This rainforest runs along the west coast of British Columbia, and is the largest tract of unspoiled temperate rainforest on earth. We put together a video of highlights of this area including some of the birds and mammals, which is probably of interest to you in the Tweeters community. This is an inspiring natural area!
