Walking in shallow water with jerky motion. Long slender neck and long thin Bill. Yellow legs in flight. Grayish upper body, neck and head, no obvious Coloration."

Large white face patch extending behind eye. Larger bill. Notched tail. Did not vocalize. Perched on wire fence at pond beyond Phelps creek."

I excitedly began searching for it and saw an olive small bird but then as it turned I saw a very yellow throat area."

It was was plain but I noticed a reddish brown spot on it s head . Then I saw it sing and turned on my Merlin bird id for song and the sighting was confirmed. I couldn’t get a decent picture . By the time I thought about it the bird had left."
