Subject: [NHBirds] Seacoast Tuesday Afternoon
Took advantage of the nice day of the week for a seacoast trip. Started
before noon at Hampton Beach where there were a few birders looking for
Snowy Owls and a Snow Goose, but it was rather quiet with nothing to
observe other than Common Eiders and gulls. So I didn't spend much time
there or bother with a checklist. Next stop was Rye Harbor. A couple of
birders were there observing the numerous Horned Larks foraging on the
north-facing side of the point. Got some nice photos. Not much else to
see though. ebird checklist https://ebird.org/checklist/S294105749 with

Last stop was Odiorne Point where I spent a couple hours walking along the
rocky shore and inland trails. Most notable was the lack of land birds: No
chickadees, titmouses, juncos, sparrows... nothing other than a couple
crows observed flying through. Not many people either for such a nice
afternoon. A small group of birders were near the science center scanning
the ocean with binoculars and scopes, and there were a few passers by, but
essentially I had the park to myself. ebird checklist
