I've long had a tube feeder, inside a cage to prevent access by large
birds, adjacent to a suet feeder and not far from the a platform feeder.
Recently I put up another older caged tube feeder that had needed
repairs about 15-feet away from any other feeders. Based on seed
disappearance, it gets about 3 times as much traffic as the identical
feeder in a busier neighborhood. I also seem to be getting more smaller
birds, it seems that way and seed disappearance in the two caged feeders
is higher than it was with the single feeder.
