- Comments: "immature Aythya sp., probably GrSc. Head shape not like RnDu or LeSc, rounded and flat-topped. Larger black tip to bill than on most LeSc."

Giving single “Chet” notes consistent with this species, and I believe different from Hooded. Small size and green back also led me to Orchard. The bill did strike me as on the large side for Orchard, so I’m open to this being proven to be a Hooded. But I lean strongly Orchard."

Yellow throat and face with black eye-line and yellow supercillium. Some heavy streaks down sides of breast. White and unmarked below with white undertail. Very active. Gave a muted high chip note. Continuing."
