Subject: [cayugabirds-l] "Winter World Walks At Refuge Continue Through January
Days are shorter and sunlight is less intense. What's to blame? Why have so
many trees and shrubs lost their leaves? Can creatures other than mammals
hibernate? Why can some birds spend the winter with us while others are
forced to leave? And where have all the reptiles, amphibians and insects
gone? Where in the dead of winter can I find a reliable promise of spring?
And where can I find an even more reliable promise in the evening sky? Come
join us as we seek to experience some of the marvels of this harsh and
beautiful season.
Walks are free and begin at 10am at the Montezuma Refuge Visitor Center. No
signups necessary. No pets please.
Walk Dates are: 1/3, 1/11 & 1/24.
