A stakeout hotspot has been set up for this bird: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L56039735.  If you saw the bird, please consider changing your location for the list with the Vermilion Flycatcher from a personal location to the hotspot.   This (old) article from Maine explains the benefits of using the stakeout hotspot: https://ebird.org/region/US-ME-023/post/understanding-how-stakeout-hotspots-work
To change the location of your list in the ebird website, open the list and select Edit location (near the location name or from the Checklist Tools dropdown menu).Choose Nearby Location on a Map.  Select the stakeout hotspot from the map. Click on continue to save the change and return to the list.

Good evening, AR Birders!

I wanted to share a report from our Lonoke Christmas Bird Count today. While birding with Ari Remmel, we found a VERMILION FLYCATCHER in Lonoke County. This individual was an adult male in full red plumage. The bird was found on a fence line between Mount Zion Baptist Church and a cow field along Pettus Rd., approximately here: 34.68980° N, 91.92759° W. Other birders in the area found the bird continuing through early afternoon today.

Good luck if you decide to chase it, and happy CBC season!

Best,
Kevin Krajcir
