My brother and I did some winter atlasing this afternoon in Miller's Station SE. We drove/walked along Sutterview/ S. Brown Hill Rd. for a few hours. We got our best birds right away - a light morph Rough-legged Hawk and six ravens enjoying the stiff breeze. Through the rest of the afternoon we picked a Golden-crowned Kinglet, Brown Creeper, a pair of Red-tailed Hawks, numerous pairs of cardinals, and other common winter birds. An enjoyable afternoon in a part of Crawford Co. I don't bird.
