- Comments: "We saw the tropical kingbird along the north end of the trail. It called twice and we heard the distinctive pip-pip-pip. It had a very bright yellow breast too. Will post a picture/video."

It took multiple views for Rough-winged to enter my ID thought process but once it did I had multiple strong views of brownish face, breast and flanks, darker brown upperparts white belly and undertail."

- Comments: "Observed near one of the Mission Creek bridges. First detected by its distinctive vocalizations, then visually located as it perched briefly. I was able to make out several field marks though views were limited. I did not have my camera with me; however, I was able to obtain an audio recording of the bird vocalizing"

Then found in the carrotwood trees on the north side of N Nopal street between parking lots here 34.42392° N, 119.68445° W. Similar in size to an orange-crowned warbler with a yellow hood, bold white eye-ring, unmarked pale gray underparts and green backs. I had this species in the exact same spot 2 or so years ago."

Notably bright yellow warbler with plain face. Was brightest yellow around face and breast with greenish-gray back and gray wing coverts. Pale yellow belly which faded into a white vent and undertail coverts. Was foraging both in the tipu tree closest to the Smart and Final, and on the parking lot below alongside a yellow-rumped warbler which was also foraging on the ground."

- Comments: "Continuing bird found in biggest/highest Italian Stone Pine on Santa Ynez Ave across from Memorial Park. Distinguishing feature was a bright yellow throat and breast. Head- yellow supercilium, black stripe from beak through eye, black crown. Gray upper parts with black stripes and dark wings. White belly with black stripes on sides/flanks. White UTC and white under tail with thin black side edges. Diagnostic photos."
