We had a great CBC in Carpinteria last Saturday, with perfect weather and some cooperative continuing rarities. Sixty birders reported a preliminary total of 160 species, with highlights including: * The continuing Prothonotary Warbler at Cactus Lane * The continuing Grace's Warbler at Caitlin Circle * Two different Tropical Kingbirds (one at El Carro Park, the other at the Loon Point parking on Padaro Lane) * A Burrowing Owl roosting on the sandspit near the mouth of the Carpinteria Salt Marsh More details are available at https://carpbirdwatchers.org/cbc/.
