Hey birding friends! The SoRensCo CBC is on Saturday 12/27 and all are welcome! Please let me know if you're interested - we have so many new members.
The goal, if you haven't done one before, is to form up teams and attempt to count every single bird in a designated area. Some teams go out after sunrise while others hunt in the pre-dawn hours for owls. We cover a 15 mile radius taking in South Troy, East and North Greenbush, Sand Lake, Averill Park, parts of Nassau and Schodack and a strip of the Albany waterfront. After the day's birding we'll meet at the Lakeview Inn in Averill Park for our traditional post-count compilation dinner and brag session.
