Least Bittern (Botaurus exilis) (1)
- Reported Nov 17, 2025 15:55 by Alexander Yan
- Laguna Lake, San Luis Obispo, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-120.6903817&<ll...>,-120.6903817 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S284990481 - Comments: "Continuing; seen in the reeds while standing on the empty lot scanning for rails and peeps. I first saw the back of its head barely poking out of the reeds. A little bit later it moved slightly, more of a neck can be seen, and it was doing the bittern reed swaying thing when a GBH approached and spooked it. Later I lost it after a Cooper’s hawk flyover and increasingly windy conditions."

Tennessee Warbler (Leiothlypis peregrina) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Nov 17, 2025 11:47 by Tom Edell
- Morro Bay SP--Campground, San Luis Obispo, California

- Comments: "Presumably the same bird first reported in same bottlebrush tree on 3 Nov by Kevin Zimmer though the photos seem to show a brighter yellow bird. One wintered at this same location last year but this bird looks like a first year bird. The photos show the key characteristics of a thin and pointed bill yellow supercilium and dark eye line before and after the eye, long and white undertail coverts, and a short tail. In addition, the pale yellow tips on the greater and median coverts formed two thin yellow wingbars. Yellow-green upperparts offset the pale underparts that were washed with yellow. The forehead had two distinct dark streaks that appeared to be sap. (photos)"
