Subject: [slocobirding] Lucy's Warbler - Morro Bay yard
This afternoon I noticed a small warbler foraging along the top of our blooming Cape Honeysuckle. It was noticeably smaller than a nearby Orange-crowned Warbler. For a few minutes it continued to feed in the hedge, revealing only a fine bill, pale gray back and short tail before finally dropping down to bathe.

This is one that I've had my eye out hoping for a visit our yard for many years. New yard bird #163. 😊

Probably not chaseable but want a mention, one was reported on Nov. 4 by Marlin Harms. Marlin is a nearby neighbor on Estero Avenue here in Morro Bay. Thinking it may be still around.
