- Comments: "Continuing juvenile. One was perched up in the smaller Monterey Cypress, closest to the last boat ramp.
We have been observing this species since early September. We observed one juvenile at this location in the morning of 9/6/25 and again on 9/7/25, 9/8/25, 9/12/25 and 9/18/25. We observed three juveniles on 9/25/25 and 9/26/25. On 10/2/25 we observed two juveniles. On 10/7/25 and 10/8/25 we observed a single juvenile here. On 10/13/25 and 10/14/25 we again observed two individuals. On 10/23/25 we saw just a single one and on 10/24/25 and 10/29/25 again two.
One juvenile was first present here on 9/4/25 and could have been the same individual reported on 9/3/25 at the Morro Bay SP Marina.
Today's juveniles had a dark, stout bill with yellow feathers at the base of the lower mandible; small white triangular spots on the covert feathers.

- Comments: "Compared to all other Savannah Sparrows present, this bird had an overall pallid brown plumage to the upperparts (streaking on the mantle was muted), and was more lightly streaked below, with a bill that was both longer and broader/deeper. Photos to follow."

- Comments: "Feeding in bottle brush near ranger residence (where one was present for much of last winter, including on the CBC). Short-tailed, with long white under tail coverts; thin, pointed bill; fairly uniform bright olive-green upperparts; no distinct wingbars; pale yellow supercilium, set off by narrow dark eyeline; pale yellow wash to throat and breast; crissum contrastingly white. Smaller than nearby Orange-crowned Warblers. Photos to follow."

- Comments: "Continuing young male (Bob McKay 11/04/25) was observed here (35.265954, -120.685578) in oak grove south of eucalyptus grove bordering fields to the north. The bird was bight green on top of head and back with faint black flecks and streaking and was yellow/green on sides of neck with greenish gray auriculars, short dark eye-line, dark lores and yellowish eye-arcs. The paired wing-bars were bold white and separated by dark black panels, the breast was dull yellow fading to a dull white belly with distinct chestnut/rufous wash on flanks and buyy yellow undertail."

- Comments: "Continuing in gazebo area trees and on ground at around 9:30 a.m. : 35.266046, -120.685516 —The bird was low in the interior of a tree just a few feet south of the coordinates and stayed in this area a while, even foraging on the ground and in low shrubs. Well documented specimen. This is my second sighting of the bird since it was found. I did point out the warbler to another birder after I located it (His doggy Avalon was cute).
