Subject: [CT Birds] Lighthouse Point Golden Eagle
Today (10/27) our 158 raptors included 8 species including a single imm
Golden Eagle at c 11:20 a.m. High by far were 93 Turkey Vultures. Also in
double figures were 28 Cooper's Hawks and 14 Red-tailed Hawks.Winds were
north all day but cloudless skies and mostly high flight were challenging.
Wind was very light early; most raptors were logged from 10-1.

There were c 40 species noted overall. In a decent morning flight, the
highest count for any species was 800 Common Grackles. The first week of
November should bring some spectacular daily high counts of 6 figures.
