A very handsome SAY'S PHOEBE was found yesterday in front of the airport during a field trip led by Jake Marquess as part of the AAS Fall Conference held in Conway over the weekend. Numerous participants on Jake's trip as well as other field trips stopped by to see it. It is continuing this morning.Approx locations to check for it: (1) to the right of the Airport entrance along the chainlink fence and open fields. (2) If not there, turn around and go through the black iron fence to the building with the blue awning. Check the fenceline as well as near the building. Also flies behind the buildings out of sight. The CLAY-COLORED SPARROW popped up on the fence for a few minutes, mixed in with the Savannah Sparrows at this second location. It was great to see everyone at the convention and glad to hear many of you got some State and Life Birds. Congratulations! Patty McLean and Michael Linz The Roadrunners
