I’m in Ludlow and pretty sure I’ve flushed a Woodcock the past two mornings on my walk. We see them in the Spring given we have an ideal habitat for them but never this late. How unusual would that be? Only got quick glimpse but that distinct lengthy bill is a giveaway. I guess could be a snipe but it’s flight twitter did not sound like one.
