Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Palm, Black-and-white, yellow-billed White-crowned
A few highlights from Robb Field this morning, 23 October.

A Black-and-white Warbler (and a locally rare American Robin, ooh ahh) was
in the clump of ficus SW of the tennis court:
(32.7547140, -117.2406499)

A Palm Warbler in the south corner associated with Yellow-rumped Warblers:
(32.7516750, -117.2422176)

Perhaps most notable, a yellow-billed White-crowned Sparrow (pugetensis?)
was just east of that along the fence line next to Sunset Cliffs Blvd with
a flock of the expected, pink-billed Gambel’s. Not very cooperative and it
escaped without photos so if someone’s interested in trying to document
that it would be great.

The Tropical Kingbird was very vocal at dawn at the basketball court.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
