A Rufous Hummingbird has been confirmed present on private property in Warren Co.
This is a reminder to keep a hummingbird feeder up--clean and full--for at least another month in the hope of attracting and nourishing a Rufous Hummingbird, presumably on its way to wintering ground along the gulf and/or in Florida.. Birds found in Missouri in mid-late autumn are not "lost", but likely are following an established migration route.
