Subject: [ia-bird] No sighting -- published article with photo by an Iowa birder
The latest issue of Living Bird, the magazine of the Cornell Lab of
Ornithology, includes a report on migration in South America. The report
includes a beautiful photo of a Blackburnian Warbler that was taken by our
own Linda Rudolph (a moderator of this group) on her trip to Colombia in
2023. Here is a link to the online article.

For those interested, the online article includes a link to the study it
describes.

On eBird, Linda's photo is rated the "best quality" photo of a Blackburnian
Warbler seen in Colombia.

While we can be justly proud of Linda, this study is a testament to how
important eBird data and photos are to researchers. So thanks to all of you
who put the time and expertise into your eBird checklists.
