Good afternoon Birders,
The 2025 Fall IOU Conference was held in Ventura, Iowa October 10-12. A
total of 58 participants enjoyed a beautiful fall weekend in north-central
Iowa and tallied a total of 115 species on field trips to birding hotspots
including Hanlontown Slough, Pilot Knob and McIntosh Woods State Parks, and
Clear Lake itself. Many thanks to local host Paul Hertzel for helping
organize a wonderful weekend and to field trip leaders Curt Nelson, Mike
McCann, Connor Langan, and Darrin Siefken. You can view a full summary of

Mark your calendars - the Spring 2026 Conference is scheduled for April
24-26 in Fayette, Iowa. We hope to see you there!
