Observers:

Visitors:
Earnie & Rachel Swartzentruber & daughter from Belleville visited earlier
in the day and Deanna Stauffer, also from Belleville, brought 3 out of
state friends up to the overlook to enjoy the views.

Weather:
Brisk but steady winds from the north, punctuated by gusts that came more
frequently in the afternoon. Another cloudless sky.

Raptor Observations:
Local Red-tailed Hawks, along with Black and Turkey Vultures that were not
counted. Observed a large Raven harassing a migrating Red-tail and then
escorting him past our watch. Several Red-tails were kiting as usual along
the Big Valley side of our watch but with gusting winds they did not kite
for long and had to fight to keep steady.

Non-raptor Observations:
Many Ravens were around today along with the usual flock of Cedar Waxwings
and several Bluejays. Pesky bugs are almost completely gone for the
season!
