Subject: [CT Birds] Coastal Center
10/15 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center. 9:45am-1PM. mid
tide-receding, cloudy , 65F.
Many visitors at the coastal center today.
On the marsh: As the tide was receding many gulls and shorebirds were
feeding.
13 American Black ducks, 3 Greater Yellowlegs, 3 Black bellied plovers, 2
Mute swans, 3 Great egrets, 1 Great blue heron, 5 Laughing gulls with many
Ring billed and some Herring gulls, a flock of DC Cormorants flew over, 18
Crows flew over.
On the grounds & feeders: 1 Cooper's Hawk bathing in fountain, 14 White
throated sparrows, 2 Cardinals, 2 Blue Jays, 4 Tufted Titmice, 9 Yellow
rumped warblers, 2 Mourning doves, 2 Song sparrows, 2 Mockingbirds, and 1
Carolina Wren.
