Ash-throated Flycatcher (Myiarchus cinerascens) (1)
- Reported Oct 14, 2025 14:12 by Silvia Echeverria
- 93013, Carpinteria US-CA (34.3922,-119.4769), Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.476901&<ll...>,-119.476901 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S279410641 - Comments: "Perched on the phone wire for several minutes about 20 feet away. Swooping into the air for insects. Black beak, soft yellow lower flank, leading edge of primaries outlined in rust, very thin line. He flew up and off the wire catching insects and a Black Phoebe landed next to him. When he flew into the air the light reflected through his primaries, making them appear very light; the outline of his tail was triangular. He perched again with the black Phoebe, and then they both flew off and landed on a bush on the south west side of the lake."
Lazuli Bunting (Passerina amoena) (1)
- Reported Oct 13, 2025 11:14 by Mark Holmgren
- Cachuma Lake - Jackrabbit Flat, Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.94765&<ll...>,-119.94765 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S279252289 - Media: 7 Photos
- Comments: "Rich brown body feathering, dark throat that does not contrast greatly with the breast, and breast and belly streaking supports Indigo Bunting. Mostly whitish wingbars supports Lazuli Bunting. Lack of any bluishness to wing, rump, or tail suggests female."
