Observation start time: 09:30:00 Observation end time: 11:30:00 Total observation time: 2 hours
Official Counter: Dave Eberly
Observers:
Weather: Windy and a light drizzle from a nor'easter off the coast. Temperature 52F. Hoping against hope we counted for two hours at mid-day but no sign of improvement and no definite migrants.
Raptor Observations: Four Cooper's Hawks were seen flying together below tree level as they crossed the park from NE to SW and disappeared. The impression was they were two pairs interacting aggressively. They were not obviously migrating.
Two local TVs made a brief appearance
Non-raptor Observations: Blue Jays, crows and Red-bellied Woodpecker were about it.
Predictions: Perhaps some migration on the back flow as the storm moves away. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. North wind 10 to 15 mph. ======================================================================== Report submitted by David Eberly (<david.eberly...>) Rose Tree Park information may be found at: https://bcdelco.org/activities/rose-tree-park-hawkwatch/
