Subject: [IN-BIRD-L] Ft. Harrison SP, 10/12 Orange-crowned Warbler, Barred Owl
The bird walk at Ft. Harrison State Park, Indianapolis, produced 38 species on October 12th. Very few migrant songbirds other than late migrants and wintering species. Highlights included at least one Barred Owl that called several times before the walk began, continuing Red-breasted Nuthatch, both kinglets, and an Orange-crowned Warbler that gave a good, but too brief, view.
A bird walk will be help each Sunday in October at Ft. Harrison State Park (only two left for the season). Meet at 8am in the NE corner of Delaware Lake parking lot. Below is the complete list.
