Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Yellow-throated Warbler MIA
Since about 9:00 a.m. the Yellow-throated warbler has gone MIA. It came back West along the line of palm trees along the bike trail and ended up in trees adjacent to the very end of the parking lot next to the skateboard park and the east end of the tennis courts, but then vanished. Whether it's still in the line of palms, or in any pines, or just gone, we don't know. The bird was always difficult as it was hidden in the denser live palm fronds up to 90% of the time. And there's now a breeze blowing. So refinding this bird could be quite difficult, although anywhere in the palms lining the parking lot and bike trail from the tennis courts eastward to the Sunset cliffs bridge is probably at least fair game. Listen for its sweet chip note which it gave occasionally.
No surprise, the Tropical Kingbird continues.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
