Subject: [CT Birds] Lighthouse Park, New Haven - 689 Diurnal Raptors
Of the 12 species of raptors seen at Lighthouse today, the Accipiterines
stole the show. 223 Sharp-shinned and 367 Cooper's Hawks were tallied
today, the best October one-day records since 2022 and 2019 respectively.
Tomorrow brings insignificant NE winds, quickly going onshore. Be on the
lookout for strong northerly winds later next week.

There was a morning flight of 2800 Blue Jays. Many more may have entered
the Park throughout the day, after the count ended at 8 am or so. Full
details on eBird.
