Good morning Birders,
The Iowa Ornithologists' Union Fall Conference in Clear Lake, October 10-12, is quickly approaching. Just a reminder that the registration deadline is *October 3, 2025*.
I'm pleased to announce a special opportunity at the Fall Conference. Former owner of Crawdaddy Outdoors (Waverly) and IOU member Darrin Siefken will be leading a birding float by kayak and canoe on Clear Lake both Saturday and Sunday. The cost for this field trip will be $15 and participation will be limited to 16 each day. More information about the field trip can be found on the meeting website <https://www.iowabirds.org/IOU/Meetings/NextMeeting.aspx> under "Field Trips".
If you are interested in participating on one of the days, please select your preferred day when you register. If you are interested in either day, please select both days and we will place you where space is available. *This field trip is available on a first come, first served basis*. The first 16 individuals to register for each day will be given priority, everyone else will be placed on a waiting list. Those selected for the field trip will be emailed the week before the conference and will be asked to pay the $15 fee at that time (you will not need to pay the fee when you register).
