Weather: Cooler than usual August temps with cool steady Northwest winds, 5-7 mph, 55F to 69F. Near clear skies at the start of the day gave way to 50% cloud cover mid-day, only to retreat to near clear skies by the end of the count. Visibility was 25 miles.
Raptor Observations: Bald Eagle 1042(a); 1227(a). A non-migrating Bald Eagle was observed flying north of the ridge 1405(a).
Non-raptor Observations: Other species observed: Common Raven 8; Tennessee Warbler 2; Ruby-throated hummingbird; Nighthawk 2; Wood Pewee; Chimney Swifts; Tree Swallow. Heard Red-eyed vireo; Tufted titmouse; Pileated woodpecker; Black-capped Chickadee; American Goldfinch; Downy Woodpecker
