Subject: [ia-bird] warblers
There have been, off and on, warblers at Parker's Woods the last week or so.
Today, with Parker's Woods and McIntosh State Park there were14 species of
warblers. Nothing unusual just good warblers.

McIntosh is finally "birdable". The high winds of the first of the month
that hit Ventura area really decimated the park. Many trees and lots of
branches were down. It took weeks to open up the paths and roads, but now
the area is open, although the workers have lots to do yet to get it back in
shape. Areas that had been heavily treed now have large openings in the
middle. It was bad enough with the loss of ash trees, and now it is
devastating. However, trees will grow up eventually and all will be well,
but I wonder what it will do to the migration of warblers for the next few
years that liked certain areas in the park.
