A slow day on the ridge today. Expected a bit more action with the
WNW/NW winds. The good news is that I had great looks at the few raptors
that were counted today. The day started with an Osprey that came in
below eye level and tight to the ridge on the river side as I was putting
up the owl pole. The Broadwings were also tight to the ridge as they
cruised on past. My Bird of the Day selection goes to the adult male
Kestrel that came in at treetop level directly at me until it veered to
take
a swipe at the owl decoy as it zipped down ridge. What a gorgeous bird !

Non-raptor Observations:
RT Hummingbird- 5
Ravens- 5
Baltimore Oriole- 1
Cedar Waxwings
Chimney Swifts
Tree Swallows
Monarch - 1
Black Swallowtail
Tiger Swallowtail

Hey BH... Congrats on the NY Fisher !!!! Awesome !!
